A $24-million miniature version of Canada

Over the past 10 years, Brenninkmeijer and a merry band of model makers have been creating a Lilliputian replica of the country. In their tiny version of Toronto, elevators zoom up and down a 14.5-foot-tall CN Tower, and toy-sized trucks inch along a micro Gardiner Expressway. A lift delivers teensy skiers to the top of Mont-Sainte-Anne in Petit Quebec, and on the peewee Parliament Hill lawn, a crowd of half-inch figurines celebrates a Canada Day concert in perpetuity… More here.

That is ridiculously ridiculous, but kind of remarkable.

  1. That is very cool. It would be cool regardless of the country, but as a Canadian, it’s extra cool.
