  1. I’ve had several of these apps over the years. Jen prefers to have some sort of brown noise or fan noise to sleep to – especially in a hotel. This app you refer to seems to be a new twist that looks good. I saw a study several years ago that said it’s better for our brains to have an actual recorded loop sound than random white noise though. I think the randomness is supposed to be unsettling somehow, so it said to always pick a fan noise or other recorded sound in the app.
