Any ideas what could cause this? My iPhone 7 now has no memory free at all (running iOS 11 admittedly) and is unusable. Will try Apple, but need to avoid downgrading as back ups are all iOS 11 over recent weeks.

It is a file system problem. Back on iOS 10 with a backup that Apple helped me get. Very impressed considering it is a beta and that particular help should not be available.

Is it outrageous that a beta has some bugs? It’s great that people like Shaun are willing to risk their data testing stuff while the rest of us wait for Apple to launch it properly!

I over-reacted and under-read, to be honest – but I was a little sore about previous, similar issues, with Gb after Gb permanently sunk in “Other” like categories, and very little paths to understand what was going on.
