Siri from the home screen vs security (you can’t have both)

The reason we all go through the faff of using a fingerprint or a typing a four or six digit code into our iPhones every time we want to use them is to keep the information they store safe, right? But as one girl recently discovered after she came across a lost, locked iPhone, it’s not actually that difficult to access a person’s information at all.

In fact, the amount of information about you a stranger could get their hands on from your locked iPhone is quite scary.

A Twitter user who goes by the handle of ‘uninterested hō’ explained her discovery in a series of tweets… More at Cosmopolitan.

As she says ‘go to settings, touch id & passcode, and under “allow access when locked” turn off siri, today’s view, and notification’s view.’ Do it. Do it now!
