A FORMER soldier could win the title of owning the oldest mobile phone as he still uses a Nokia 3310 which he brought almost 17 years ago.
Dave Mitchell brought his trusty phone in 2000 and claims that it only needs charging once every ten days.
Dave has taken the handset on military tours of Iraq and Afghanistan during his career as a soldier.
He insists the phone has been put through a washing machine, stamped on and submerged in curry sauce but remains in perfect working order… More at The SUN.
I don’t know what is more surprising. A man using the same phone for so long or me linking to The SUN twice on the same day.

Wonder if he mostly calls or SMSes.

I still have my Samsung SPH-N200 but I don’t think it works on Sprint anymore. Yes it is darn near deathproof.

…when I say I have it, I mean either I have used it or it has been in the charging cradle for the last 15 years. It still ‘works’.
