Uber good Tesla sick

Some quick thoughts. Last week I needed to go to the hospital for some tests and I chose Uber for each journey. I was not allowed to drive home from the appointment and my wife was at work so I used the same service I always use, albeit very occasionally.

I will ignore the cost and the reputation of the company and simply say that the app design and the way the service has been honed is amazing. It is as simple and reassuring process as you could wish for and it truly does just work.

My only downside was that the outgoing journey was in a Tesla. The driver drove considerately, but didn’t say a word and I realised that it was my first ride in a Tesla. It was only half way through the 20 minute journey that I realised I was feeling travel sick- something about the acceleration and braking really hit me in the stomach quickly.

Yes I think Musk is a dick, but I always presumed the cars to be really smart. Besides the sickness, the interior and comfort in the back of the car were mediocre at best. It did not feel like it should for the asking price.

So, Uber good and Tesla sick (in a bad way).

  1. That’s interesting. I wonder what it was about it. I know the regenerative braking is supposed to be different.
