If you want to buy a traditional watch with sapphire glass you will pay approximately £350 as a minimum. This is for true sapphire and a half-decent movement etc.
If you want to buy a traditional watch with a ceramic bezel or even a ceramic case you could expect to pay anything from £400 to many £1,000’s.
If you want to buy the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro with sapphire glass, a titanium case, a ceramic case back, a rubber strap and a leather strap included you pay £179.
It makes the pricing of materials for other brands look hollow and at an extreme unfair.
The thing is, I got to play with one yesterday and it is a very, very impressive smart watch which actually feels like a real watch on the wrist. Expect a review soon if I decide to take a closer look.
