The Garmin Enduro

There is one area that stands out in the new Garmin Enduro and it is extremely impressive-

Smartwatch: Up to 50 days/65 days with solar*
Battery Saver Watch Mode: Up to 130 days/1 year with solar*
GPS: Up to 70 hours/80 hours with solar**
Max Battery GPS Mode: Up to 200 hours/300 hours with solar**
Expedition GPS Activity: Up to 65 days/95 days with solar*

That is insane.

  1. Interesting stats, although I suspect they’re partly down to some tweaking of settings (GPS/heart rate less frequent etc) unless there has been a breakthrough in battery technology.
The 6X pro solar (I have) lasts a good 3 weeks which is great. Thats not including any solar top up, and just in standard mode (with blood oxygen monitoring etc turned on periodically) rather than the power saving mode.

I did manage to grab the nylon strap that is in the picture however, delivered today (and now the site suggests many weeks for shipping). Hopefully more comfortable than the rubber one it came with.

    1. It’s not apparently. Take a look at this. He sounds like Kermit, but he is really good.
