According to my FitBit I am getting 4 hours and 50 minutes average sleep per night. Anything would help at this point.

  1. Whether it would help depends on what’s causing the sleep loss. I’m assuming you’re in bed trying to sleep for more than 5 hours a night. I’m not a doctor, but I have had sleep problems.

Some questions to ask yourself. Are your mattress and pillows comfortable? Do you have trouble getting to sleep? If you wake in the middle of the night, can you get back to sleep easily? Do you snore? Do you sleep on your side, back, or stomach? Does the FitBit tell you when you are awake? And if so, are you aware that you’re awake? What is the quality of the sleep you do get? Have you ever had a sleep test to check for sleep apnea?

I was diagnosed with severe Sleep Apnea and was put on a CPAP machine. I’m no longer on it and have learned to sleep on my side and keep my mouth shut (no comments please, way too easy) while I sleep. I also found that if I woke during the night, I had a very hard time getting back to sleep, so my doctor gave me something for that.
