The truth about a teenager’s bedroom


The mess has a purpose. It says “I have chosen my environment to be deliberately different from yours”. Interestingly, frequently adolescents living in chaotic homes will have very tidy rooms, and the reverse is also true. Whatever you’re doing, it’s wrong, and they’re right. So there! I won’t be showing this article to my children. They really need no excuses to justify the rooms they live in.

  1. It’s important to understand why they do things. Like many other things in life, we may not like it, but if we understand why, it’s easier to live with.
