This is a variant of how the “Blue/Gold Dress” thing works, I’d say.

The difference here is that we all see red strawberries whereas with the dress thing we seemed to be divided. Can’t remember what caused the dress confusion.

It was similar eye auto-correction for surrounding light samples – https://www.wired.com/2015/02/science-one-agrees-color-dress/ – but critically, yeah, less universally applied, about 50/50. (and so encouraging people to declare they’re way of seeing it as the RIGHT WAY DAMMIT)
