I have spent many years searching for the perfect smartphone and latterly doing the same with watches, and multiple other products. It reaches the point where the search is more fun than the end result and it can also be an expensive exploration.
Today, however, I find myself using one object for each major task in my life and I am content with what I am using. That contentment also grows stronger as time passes and I get to be more familiar with what I am using.
The iPhone SE is ideal for me and does what I need. It may not be the most powerful phone in the world, but it is fast, pocketable, familiar and works all day, every day. Well, at least it does with the help of my PNY charger which has proved to be rock solid.
Headphones are now sorted thanks to the Motorola Verge Life which have proved to be a fantastic buy. I hear people rave about the AirPods and I’m guessing that the Motorolas are giving me a similar feeling.
My iMac is approaching 7 years old and is hanging on in there so why change it? I can see an update being required within the year though and do hope that Apple obliges with a new model that does not feel like a compromise.
The Kindle Paperwhite is for reading and serves me every day and the Seiko SRPA21K1 has stopped me looking at other watches. I can’t explain what it is about this watch, but it has grabbed me and will not let go. My son now owns one as well and various sites proclaimed it to be the best watch of 2016. It cured me of watch hunting.
So, I am happy with what I have and that is a strange feeling for someone who needs to write about new things often. I will see how long this feeling lasts, but am curious as to what you guys use each day and if you are on the hunt for any new products, and why?
