Sat down to watch The Grand Tour last night with my son and we came away from it much more impressed than we expected. The start of the show was fantastic and highlighted just how much money Amazon is throwing at it, and as it progressed there were moments of genuine brilliance throughout.

Hated the silly bits where the celebrities died and it didn’t quite feel as though the audience interactions could be sustained over every episode, but I’m fairly certain that the new Top Gear will not compete in terms of quality and personality.

The Grand Tour will likely lack viewing numbers because of where it is now, but got to give it to the boys. It is nicer to see them back that I thought it would be. I am more of a fan of The Grand Tour already than I ever was of Top Gear, and it adds another bit of value to my Prime membership.
