A strange week. The news is still dominated by Trump every single day as he comes up with anything to distract from the Epstein files, but in the last 24 hours he decided that simply destroying America was not enough for him.
US President Donald Trump has reversed a key Obama-era scientific ruling that underpins all federal actions on curbing planet-warming gases. The so-called 2009 “endangerment finding” concluded that a range of greenhouse gases were a threat to public health. It’s become the legal bedrock of federal efforts to rein in emissions, especially in vehicles… More here.
Yeah, let’s try to destroy the entire world as well just to make a few dollars. He’s bonkers and the people who assist him in his path of destruction are just as guilty as he is. Only one country will lose at the end of all of this and that is America as the rest of the world builds closer alliances in order to counter the unreliability of the most powerful dictatorship in the world. It’s all so sad.
The one bright point is that Starmer is still our PM. I just hope he can cling on long enough to prove that what he is doing is working for the country. I genuinely believe that Labour is the only viable government for the UK at this time, probably any time to be fair.
On a personal note my M.E. has continued to slowly get worse. It only dawned on me this week that I have left the house only two times in the past month and it appears that being housebound is my future for now. It’s so hard to work out what causes the symptoms and crashes, but I’m also realising that working part-time could be one of the main problems.
I really do not want to give up work because it’s one of the few things I can still do and I need the money, but avoiding becoming bed bound is my main goal. If that happens I genuinely don’t think I could live with that, why would I want to?
What really bugs me is the complete lack of help available to me and anyone with M.E. It’s been 5 months since I was diagnosed and I have at least 7 months until I will see a specialist. And at that point I will be given ‘tips’ and ‘advice’ on how to manage it which will likely involve just staying in bed when the symptoms (and there are many symptoms, not just tiredness) kick in.
Anyway, I keep pondering what the future will be and I keep looking back and realising that it’s going downhill slowly with the odd bright moment. As Ren said ‘The brighter the light, the darker the shadow it creates’. The good days only make the bad days that follow feel mentally even worse, and the likes of Trump and the general state of the UK, America, Russia and, oh well, everywhere else just adds more weight.
I suspect that we have always panicked about everything in every decade and that this is just human nature, but this does feel more pivotal than before, but then again maybe it always did. I just don’t know…
Very strange week. It’s possible the car companies won’t go along with him because they know that he won’t be in power long and that they don’t want to be responsible for destroying the world.
Sorry about your ME.

Something tells me the car companies are not worried about the world.
