What’s the alternative if Starmer resigns today?
Wes Streeting? A career politician who is a brilliant speaker, but who would fall quicker than Starmer.
Angela Raynor? No, just no.
Other Labour politicians? Cant think of one who could be PM.
And then what follows? Farage? A grifter who only thinks about himself and who does not give a damn about the UK.
And so it goes on. We replace PM after PM and hope for a different outcome. Starmer is not part of the establishment that lead to the Epstein files. He is a pragmatist and someone whose work is just starting to pay dividends in the UK.
Give him three more years and he should have unravelled some of the mess the Tories left, but alas I don’t think he will be given long enough.
It’s like in football management. Alex Ferguson was close to being sacked, but they stuck with him and he became one of the greatest football managers of all time.
I am wondering if Starmer was forced into giving Mandelson the job because he was new in the role, Trump was throwing tariffs around and Mandelson was part of that circle- did Trump demand Mandelson?
Starmer cannot win, he never could win in a political and media system hell bent on serving the few and fucking over the rest of us.
