A friend sent me a clip of a British politician saying something funny and stupid last week which was a link on X. I watched the clip, lightly chortled to myself and then it jumped to the next video.

Before I realised what was happening a man was arguing with a woman. He got his gun out and shot her in the head. He then held the gun to his head and pulled the trigger at which point he fell to the ground in a horrible motion.

It was disturbing, unexpected and it has stayed with me ever since.

I barely visit X anymore and when I did previously it was only to look at politics, funny stuff or comments from those I follow. Nothing violent or bad, just normal stuff.

A quick look the next day brought up a video of a lady falling off a cliff, presumably to her death.

These were presented to me without warning, no age verification from my side and with nothing in my history that would suggest I want to see content like this.

Imagine if I was 13 years old or someone who could be dragged into this kind of stuff.

What the hell is Musk doing with his platform and how is this allowed? It’s sick and so dangerous because of what it will do to millions of minds.
