My son told me that he wanted an eReader for his birthday and my first response was ‘What Kindle do you want?’
He told me that he specifically wanted the Kobo Libra Colour because it can deal with PDFs and various other formats / files that a Kindle cannot. He needs this for work and I reluctantly got him one for £189.
My main concern about moving from Kindle is all of the books I own, but then I realised that moving to a more open platform makes no real difference. I still have the books available to me on my iPad or iPhone and I am unlikely to read them again anyway.
Anyway, the Kobo arrived and he loves it. I ignored it for a few days, but eventually asked to have a look and I admit I was more than impressed.
If I give up my old Kindle Oasis and get one of these I will write something up. It does feel likely that this could happen…
I’ve heard good things too.
