Does the G-Shock need to change?

Zona Casio reported that in addition to both models being equipped with Bluetooth, the GBD-H1000 will have a heart rate monitor and a barometer (or perhaps they meant a pedometer). They also said that the GBD-H1000 possibly has Tough Solar power, while the GBD-100 probably does not. The displays of both models appear to be a dot-matrix type like the GPR-B1000 Rangeman, and the bezels resemble that model as well… More here.

I have felt that Casio is well placed to make smartwatches and fitness wearables, but I am starting to wonder if the design of G-Shocks needs to change. Have we gone past the massive robotic look? I know I have and I wonder if more and more people are feeling the same?
