The 1980s were filled with all kinds of things we like to call back to this day. There were plenty of great inventions during that decade that we look back on fondly now, but one of the most influential it turns out was the Seiko 1982 Hybrid Diver watch that could be seen on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wrist in both Commando (1985) and Predator (1987)… More here.

I have to say that these are… horrific. Regardless of the movie tie-ins or anything else, they are awful in terms of design and the way every part fits together.
