Had to buy a Google Home mini for a freelance piece and have been very surprised at how it works and feels compared to the Amazon Echo. I own both the budget versions, but the audio quality of the Google offering is much better and so is the way the assistant interacts. It feels more human, more natural and is ultimately very useful in how it deals with directions and other areas where immediate information can be sent to your phone while you are talking to it.

It’s early days, but colour me impressed. And slightly concerned that I am giving even more information to Google.
