In this hand drawn animation a line is being extrapolated through a grid. When the line surpasses the boundaries of the grid, the process spreads to and reflects on its surroundings. Beyond each boundary the extrapolation of movement is causing deformation in a systematic but speculative way.
I would describe it if I had a clue what was going on, but it’s worth a watch anyway.

I think I “get it” – reminds me of old animation ideas I’d play with, there used to be for doing connect the dots based flip book animations on PCs. Here they had a real animator draw and move, but then said “well what happened if the dots kept moving regardless of what the picture actually represents…
