Google launched a developers-only preview version of Android O, version 8.0 of its mobile operating system, today (Mar. 21). While 2016’s Android 7.0 Nougat added split-screen mode and direct reply to messages, this year’s update looks to fix battery life issues and make the OS more efficient to use… More at Tom’s Guide.

Looks like this is an evolutionary update which is I guess all that Android can offer. It already does most of what users want.
