This advert really takes me back, but I didn’t own any of them. I had a Vic 20 followed by a Spectrum (squishy keys) 48k followed by an Atari STE. via Russ.
My brother had a Commodore 64. My first personal computer was an Atari ST. Mind you, I worked with much larger computers all day. I was able to get my gaming fix from text adventures at lunchtime.
This reminds me of http://www.radioshackcatalogs.com/ – probably an American thing? But the crazily skeuomorphic interface with a gradual page flip thing you can use with the mouse pointer — I can almost smell the weird crinkly paper!

No Hard Drive, just a 720K floppy – but it was a usable notetaker seconds after booting because of a nice hardwired text processor. CGA screen like an overgrown Gameboy. Loved being able to take notes in class that I could read later…
